Lions Club Bingo gaining popularity

The Canyon Lake Lions Club has witnessed a growing interest in its bi-monthly bingo games held at the Canyon Lake Senior Center. These games have been attracting an average of 60 players every first and third Sunday of the month.

The bi-weekly event, open to anyone aged 18 and over, begins at noon and goes until about 4:00 p.m.

With a $13 buy-in for a 10-game pack or two packs for $24, the games offer various payouts ranging from $35 to $60, depending on the number of participants. Special games are also available for $1 each or six for $5, with payouts ranging from $30 to $40.

An added excitement comes from the Hot Ball ticket, available for $1, potentially granting winners between $100 to $250 if they hit BINGO on the Hot Ball number during a 10-pack game. The Hot Ball pot rolls over if there are no winners, guaranteeing at least $100 up to a maximum of $250 for the lucky winner.

A 10-minute intermission allows players to stretch, with soft drinks and chips available for a $1 donation. Newcomers can purchase daubers for $2. The Lions Club assures that while winning isn’t guaranteed for everyone, the event promises a fun experience filled with laughter, new friendships, and the joy of community spirit.

The funds raised from these bingo games support various Lion’s Club supported charities, including Ronald McDonald House, Guide Dogs of the Desert, City of Hope, and White Canes for the Blind, among others. This ensures that while participants enjoy a day of games, they also contribute to meaningful causes.

With experienced players ready to help newcomers, the Lions Club Bingo event in Canyon Lake is more than just a game—it’s a community gathering that supports both fun and philanthropy.
