Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival set for March 24

The Canyon Lake Family Matters Club is excited to announce the return of its much-anticipated Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival, promising a day of festive fun for the community. The event is scheduled for March 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Holiday Harbor Park and will offer a variety of activities for families to enjoy.

For just $5.00 per wristband, attendees can look forward to carnival games, prizes, and photos with the Easter Bunny, along with a selection of vendors for some springtime shopping. A snack bar will also be available to satisfy any cravings during the festivities.

Jeannie Hoonnirun, the president of the Canyon Lake Family Matters Club, highlighted the need for community support.

“The Canyon Lake Family Matters club is a non-profit organization, so we can use all the help and support we can get,” Jeannie said. “We need volunteers to help with the games, prize table, set up and take down and much more. Your valuable help is very much appreciated.”

The club’s mission statement, “building a community, one family at a time,” is the guiding force behind their efforts to organize low-cost, yet highly enjoyable events for the community.

“Without the support of our community, these events wouldn’t be possible,” said Vice President Dawn Rankins.

Shawna Bowen echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the impact of community contributions.

“Every contribution, big or small counts,” Shawna said. “Canyon Lake is the best community to live in and as a community, we are able to make the Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival special for the kids. Your contribution of whatever size, not only helps support the Family Matters Club and our events, but you help bring bigger and brighter smiles to the faces of the children in our community.”

The Family Matters Club looks forward to welcoming the community to Holiday Harbor for a day filled with Easter fun and festivities. For more information on how to volunteer or contribute, please visit www.familymattersclub.org.
