Golf Club holds ‘For the Love of Golf’ Tourney

The Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club held its annual Valentine’s Tournament on Feb. 13, continuing a beloved tradition. Under the leadership of Linda Kamashian, KK Beecher, Anne Norris, and Linda Johnson, who have orchestrated this event for over a decade, the tournament embraced the theme “For the Love of Golf” — a nod to the Valentine’s Tournament’s inaugural theme in 2012.

This year, 44 golfers took to the greens in a scramble format, with Club Pro Pat Kemball ensuring a birdie for every foursome with his drive on hole 12. The Canyon Lake Country Club, led by Paul and his team, delighted participants with a pasta bar, pink lemonade, and cheesecake, rounding off the day with culinary finesse.

The tournament saw spirited competition across its flights, with winners emerging in both gross and net categories:

The Close to the Pin competition added an extra layer of challenge and fun to the event, with Gerry Meeks, Barbara Lewis, Claudia Pinto, and Shelly Carter clinching victories in their respective flights.
