Superheroes Training Academy set for Sept.

It was as if they knew the Canyon Lake Family Matters Club was prepping for its first-ever Superhero activity next month. Terri Ireland, who had just returned from a seven-week road trip, sat down with her grandson Marty Poucher and the two dressed up as superheroes.

When Terri first got back with her grandson, she  asked Marty what he wanted to do. He told his grandma they needed to be Superheroes. Dressed as Iron Man and Batman they flew around the house while Starman by David Bowie played on Alexa 20 times. Every child enjoys being a superhero.

With that in mind, the Family Matters Club is out to let the superhero shine within Canyon Lake’s kids.

Family Matters Superhero Training Academy will take place Sept. 9 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Holiday Harbor. Wristbands are available for purchase.

There will be fun-filled superhero activities, a superhero costume contest and much more. This event is suitable for children of all ages. The club is looking for sponsors and for vendors with superhero or other merchandise to be at the event. Contact info@familymattersclub.org for more information.
