CLEAR Foundation Lifeguard Camp begins Monday in Perris

The CLEAR Foundation is promoting the California State Parks Junior Lifeguard Camp which begins Monday and runs through June 30. The participation fee for the state park camp is $260.00.

Bus transportation to Lake Perris, where the camp will take place, is being provided by the City of Canyon Lake. To participate, an executed Code of Conduct and proof of California State Parks Registration are required.

The first annual CLEAR Foundation Wakeboard & Waterski Camp, which will take place July 24, is sold out and names are being put on a waitlist in case space opens up. The three-day camp is for youths ages 8-16.

Hosted by the CLEAR Foundation in collaboration with the Canyon Lake Wakeboard Club and the Canyon Lake Waterski Club, the intention of the sports camp is to teach Canyon Lake youth a new sport, to improve skills and to make new friends. It will take place the North Lake Waterski Pavilion.

The event will include lunch, which will be provided by Day 1: PZA, Day 2: Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant and Day 3: Canyon Lake Market.

CPR education during lunch break is being provided by the Canyon Lake Fire Department and water conservation education is being provided by EVMWD.

Final day prizes will be awarded for: Most improved (ages 8-11), Most improved (ages 12-16), Best attitude, Best all-around water sports athlete (8-11), and Best all-around water sports athlete (12-16).

An upcoming CLEAR Foundation fundraiser called A CLEAR Night Under the Stars Dance is scheduled for July 29. A CLEAR Night Under the Stars features dinner, live music, and an auction.

The CLEAR Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. With the generous support of its sponsors and supporters, the foundation strives to sponsor junior lifeguard camp attendance and transportation, collaborate on hosting waterski and wakeboarding summer camps, and promote education about boat and water safety, water education, stewardship, and other related recreational activities.
