Breanna top qualifier for SCGA Championship in Pauma Valley

Canyon Lake’s Breanna Nobel was the top qualifier at the SCGA Women‘s Amateur Qualifying Tournament at Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena June 8. Winning the event with an even par 71, the 14-year-old amateur golfer now heads to the 2023 SCGA Women’s Amateur Championship Tournament next week at Pauma Valley Country Club in North San Diego County.

Breanna will be competing with women more than twice her age at the tournament to be held Monday and Tuesday. Since its inception, the SCGA Women’s Amateur has quickly become one of the most prestigious women’s championships in the country.

In last week’s one-day qualifying tournament in Pasadena, Breanna began her play by chipping in for a birdie on her first hole and never looked back. She finished the round with another birdie, her fourth of the day, on Hole 18.
