Women’s Golf Club includes guests in annual tournament

The 72 participants of the Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club Member Guest Tournament gather for the Picnic on the Fairway awards luncheon after a successful tournament at the Canyon Lake Golf Course.

The Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club held its annual Member Guest Tournament and 72 players participated in a fun-filled day of golf at the Canyon Lake Golf Course. The tournament concluded with a “Picnic on the Fairway” and included a chipping contest, “Best Dressed” awards and raffle prizes.

“This was a really big event for the club,” Barbara Spraul of the tournament committee said. “We want to thank the Canyon Lake Country Club manager and staff, golf professional Pat Kemball and his team and all of the sponsors and volunteers that made this event a fun day for members and their guests.”

The winning foursomes of the three flights were: A Flight – Mary Burns, Carol Phillips, Sally Fiebelkom and Terry Fricker; B Flight – Darlene Cortez, Patti Miles, Lorrie Applegate and Charlotte Ediger; C Flight –  Linda Johnson, Jane Denny, Barbara Spraul and Pam Smith.

The winners of the Best Dressed foursome were Claudia Pinto, Janice Szper, Shelley Stanovich, and Elaine Grady.
