Wakeboard Club invites public to competition, Learn to Ride Day

The Canyon Lake Wakeboard Club’s Competition #3 takes place tomorrow (Saturday) and its popular Learn to Ride Day will be Sunday and the community is invited. Members of the community can either come to be a spectator or join the competition tomorrow. The Competition takes place on the backwater behind the North Ski Area.

Registration is at the Ski Pavilion and begins at 8:00 a.m. and riding begins at 9:00 a.m. Divisions include all levels of skills in wakeboarding, wakeskating, and wakesurfing, and all ages from minis to veterans. Competitions are meant to be fun and the club encourages everyone from the community to come out and compete. Trophies and other prizes will be awarded.

Learn to Ride Day will take place on Sunday. Registration for the Learn to Ride Day is also at the Ski Pavilion and begins at 8:00 a.m. and riding begins at 9:00 a.m. and the last pull is at approximately 3:00 p.m. The fee is $35 or it is free for pull pass holders. Those wishing to participate will be provided instruction on a first come, first served basis.

All gear, boats, and coaches are provided. Riders are also welcome to bring their own gear. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

Learn to Ride Day is the club’s most popular event. It is a great opportunity to get started in the up-and-coming sport.
