Holiday Home Tour announces second house

The second home to be announced for The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club Holiday Home Tour on Dec. 3 is the home of John and Erin Waite located at 22238 Whirlaway Court.

The home is hidden up a long driveway and this hidden treasure is a 4,000 square foot country estate on a half acre of land.

“It Takes a Village,” is the Home Tour theme of the Waite home and lovely stone sets off the fascia of the home. Visitors will enter through beautiful doors to a quality home with crown molding, wainscot and travertine flooring throughout.

Inside the arched opening on the left leads guests to the baby grand player piano and Johns’ Village 56 display. The right arch beckons tour participants into the formal dining room where sits its own Christmas tree.

A family sports theme tree adorns the family area which leads out to the expansive, tiered yard, which contains an outdoor kitchen, fireplace and a stone-laden pool area.

Back inside, visitors will see the country kitchen, French sideboard and cook-top, large counter and windows that look out onto the grass area.

Down the hall is the grown children’s rooms, an office and master suite with a soak tub, huge glass and stone shower and shaker cabinetry.

Continuing on the tour are alcove rooms and the family hideaway and movie rooms.

The home is never ending and filled with Christmas surprises throughout. The home is wonderful, warm and family friendly which will be an exciting one to visit on the home tour.

The club will announce the remaining three homes, one at a time over the next three weeks leading up to the home tour. Also happening on Dec. 3 is the tree raffle along with vendors at the Canyon Lake Lodge in the Holiday Bay Room.
