In the 1st Annual Golfing For Grads Scholarship Tournament organized by Canyon Lake 9er Golf Club’s Kim Robinson, four club golfers traveled to Riverside to participate recently.
The Indian Hills Golf Club tournament was organized by Kim to raise scholarship funds for two senior golfer girls from neighboring high schools. The funds will also go to golf teams at the high schools whose athletic departments do not budget enough money for their girl‘s golf teams.
More than $10,000 was raised from the tournament.
“I‘m so fortunate to have the support of the 9er‘s Golf Club,” Kim said. “They came out to support our first golf tournament and it meant so much to me.”
The four 9ers attending the tournament were Rose Girard, Barbie Spencer, Diane Faris and Beth Trinkaus. The foursome won the award for Most Honest Score.
