Parade of Frights at Town Center next weekend

The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce is expecting more than 800 community members to head to the Canyon Lake Town Center on Oct. 29 at 9:00 a.m. for the annual Parade of Frights. The Trick or Treaters will swarm the business center and fill their bags and buckets with treats.

Canyon Lake businesses there will hand out treats to the trick or treaters as the kids swarm the center during the event. Participating businesses will have purchased a spot on the Trick or Treat Treasure Map and they will receive a stamp and sign from the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce. Signs are used to identify the business as being a participant.

Trick or treaters will be given these maps at the onset of the trick or treating around the Town Center. Participating businesses will stamp the treasure maps when the trick or treaters stop by to collect treats. Those who complete the map will be eligible to win a prize at the drawing afterwards.

Stamps and signs will be delivered to participants on Oct. 28. In addition to the trick or treating, the chamber of commerce will conduct a Halloween Costume Contest Parade at 11:30 a.m. There will be carnival games available for the kids throughout the morning.
