New owner cuts ribbon to Frozen in Time business

Kristin Estell, the new owner of Frozen in Time Cryo in the Canyon Lake Town Center, enjoyed an afternoon with Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce members, City of Canyon Lake City Council members, family, friends and her business partner in a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Friday.

Kristin has been the owner of Frozen in Time since June. Kristin said when she and her daughter moved into neighboring Canyon Hills, she met Dawn Swett, the previous owner of Frozen in Time. Dawn moved away to be with family and she approached Kristin to see if she would be interested in purchasing the business. Kristin had a background in Bio-Feedback.

Kristin said she wasn’t sure at the time if she would purchase the business, but the two stayed in contact about it.

Later, when Dawn came home to finalize her family‘s move, she met again with Kristin and after encouragement from her now business partner, Kristin decided to take the leap and buy the business.

“Dawn already did the hard work,” Kristin said. “She made this spa a wonderful place and I didn’t need to change anything. I simply added a few little things around the office. I also added in muscle sculpting, which is a way to work out while laying on a massage table. I also added in Bio-Feedback, which in short, reads energy in the body and checks 7,000 energies.”

She said she would eventually like to expand the business into other cities, including Temecula.

“Frozen in Time is an alternative wellness center that uses no chemicals,” Kristin said. “All our services are safe for kids, adults and seniors alike.”

Young 12-year-old Jayden Steeber attended the ribbon cutting and had come to the center for cryotherapy to help with his lower back pain from playing sports. He said after the cryotherapy session he can move easier.

Also at the center during the ribbon cutting was Graham Castillo, 12. He said he also plays sports and said the day before his visit he couldn’t turn his neck. After his treatment, though, he said he felt a lot better and could move and turn his neck. Graham said this is the second time he came to have cryotherapy, and he’s planning on coming back for more.

Frozen in Time Cryo is located in the Canyon Lake Town Center at 31534 Railroad Canyon Rd., Suite H.
