CLAMS delivers annual donation checks

Donations earned through a year-long series of fundraisers were distributed to their recipients by the Canyon Lake Association of Men (CLAMS) at in-person presentations recently.

CLAMS member Randy Schutz traveled to the various recipient locations and presented checks to the directors of the organizations chosen by the CLAMS club to receive this year’s club donations.

4 Paws 4 Patriots, an organization of service dogs for disabled veterans and first responders received a check. Randy Schutz presented the check to former veteran Tim LeBlanc.

Canyon Lake’s Robert Sasser, the director of Helping Hands, was given a donation for his organization that provides food for those in need in Canyon Lake and neighboring communities.

Beth Soltysiak, Director of Donor Development for the Animal Friends of the Valleys, received a donation which will be earmarked for a new building which will provide veterinary services on the local animal shelter property.

Matthew Dobler, Director of Strategic Development of the Dream Center of Lake Elsinore, accepted the club’s donation on behalf of HOPE (Helping Our People of Elsinore), a food bank and distribution charity in Lake Elsinore.

Carl Johnson, a Board of Directors member of the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest County, received a donation check for the youth organization that has Clubhouses in Lake Elsinore, Murrieta and Temecula.

Peppermint Ridge, an organization that helps individuals with intellectual disabilities, also received a donation from CLAMS.

The CLAMS men’s club was established over 40 years ago to promote fellowship among the male populace of Canyon Lake and to engage in philanthropic services in the community.
