Final call to adopt a duck for Sunday’s Lucky Duck Derby

Anyone interested in adopting a duck for Sunday’s Lucky Duck Derby at the main pool has until 1:00 p.m. Sunday to purchase those duckies. The event is a fun fundraiser for the Canyon Lake Family Matters Club.

This year’s Grand Marshal will be Sandi Greer of Farmers Insurance for the second year in a row. She will be the Lucky Duck person who will release all the ducks into the pool. Sandi will also be the one to pick the final one through five winners.

John Grande from Canyon Lake Solar is sponsoring the first place duck winner with $100.00. Shari and Rolando Gonzalez of Outlaws Armory of Canyon Lake are the second place winner sponsor with $75.00. Erin Adams Halfon of Queen of Fun Travel is the third place sponsor with $50.00.

Cindy Cameron of Arbor Hospice is sponsoring a new category this year for last duck with $50.00.

MalibuGift.com is sponsoring five more winning ducks with some delicious fourth generation chocolate boxes.

Brenda Lou Zingg from Super Zingg’s Real Estate is sponsoring a new category this year with a Zingger Duck.

Race sponsor is Bastman Properties, and Harcourt’s Properties is sponsoring additional duck prize winners.
