CL Car Show tomorrow

The Annual Canyon Lake Car Show has arrived and will take place tomorrow (Saturday) at the Canyon Lake Lodge. Over 250 pre-1979 vehicles have signed up to display their vehicles.

Vendor booths, 50/50 raffle and opportunity drawings, food trucks and an all-day DJ will be part of the day-long event. Parking begins at 7:00 a.m. and the Car Show begins at 9:00 a.m. The raffles will take place at 2:30 p.m. and the awards ceremony will take place at 3:00 p.m.

Cars are judged by peers, industry professionals, Canyon Lake POA staff and City of Canyon Lake staff. More than 25 trophies will be presented. Canyon Lake Car Club members will not be eligible for awards.

Canned Heat next up for Lodge concert

The Canned Heat Concert will take place Oct. 15 at the Canyon Lake Lodge.

Canned Heat is an American blues and rock band that was formed in Los Angeles in 1965. The group has been noted for its efforts to promote interest in blues music and its original artists.

The opening act is Harlan Spector, a Los Angeles-based keyboard player known for his extraordinary ability on the organ bass pedals on the Hammond organ. Tickets are available on the Canyon Lake POA website.
