Almost time for a little Trunk or Treat

The Canyon Lake Family Matters Club is holding its annual Halloween Carnival Oct. 30 and the Trunk or Treat portion of the event will be returning this year.

Trunk or Treat lets adults decorate the back of their cars for Halloween and load them up with candy or other small goodies to hand out. The cars are parked in a designated area and the trick or treating kids go car to car to collect the goodies.

Trunk or Treating lets kids come out fully dressed in their favorite costumes toting trick or treat bags or plastic pumpkins to get treats, all while the adults get to socialize and show off their creative side through decorating their cars.

These decorated car trunks were part of past Trunk or Treat Halloween Carnival celebrations by the Canyon Lake Family Matters Club. The club’s Halloween Carnival this year will once again include Trunk or Treat, which will allow for trunk hosts to pass out candy to participating trick or treat children.

Halloween Trunk or Treat is a great way to allow for the young ones to enjoy trick or treating without having to be out late on Halloween Sunday Night.

Groups, clubs and businesses are welcome to enter as well. There is no cost for entry, so this is a great way for local businesses to advertise to the community all while giving back to the community.

Prizes will be given for the best Trunk or Treat entry, the best Maze Walk Thru entry and the best Club entry.

Sign up and be a part of this year’s Trunk or Treating by submitting completed forms to info@familymattersclub.org or by calling 714-394-4885 to obtain more information.
