Canyon Lake couple celebrates 71 years

Canyon Lake couple Ken and Blanche Stark celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary last week by going out to dinner with friends. The two were married on August 19, 1950 after being set up on a blind date.

“I love her as much today as I did when we first met and fell in love,” Ken said. “I’ve had the best life spending it with Blanche.”

The couple has two children, a son Alan and a daughter Bonnie, who has passed away. The Starks have three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Since moving to Canyon Lake many years ago, Ken and Blanche said they have been involved in many of Canyon Lake’s clubs and activities over the years and have made many friends.
