Canyon Lake couple marries on Sunset Beach

Lacy and William Spencer, in front of over 50 invited guests, stood in the sand of Sunset Beach in Canyon Lake and were married Friday, Sept. 25. The evening wedding was not just unique for its shoreline location.

“We filed for a protest to have over 50 people gather and watch on the beach,” William said. “The protest was against Living in Sin and it ended with Lacy and I both saying ‘I Do.’ We are now Mr. and Mrs Spencer.”

Many of those attending the wedding camped at Happy Camp. The newlyweds joined some of their guests during the subsequent days at the Canyon Lake facility.

“We want to say a great big thank you to Gary, Sean and Kaitlyn at Happy Camp who helped make our camping stay so perfect,” William said. “We were known as the wedding group. Lacy and I want to thank all of our family, friends, the City of Canyon Lake, Cal Fire, our neighbors and most of all God for a much-earned perfect ceremony and reception weekend. We Love Canyon Lake and it truly is a Bit of Paradise.”
