In Memoriam: Arthur Froehlich

Arthur Froehlich

Long-time Canyon Lake resident, Arthur Froehlich, passed away at his home on February 26. Arthur was born on March 2, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to Walter and Edith Froehlich. They moved to Los Angeles when Arthur was a young boy where he later met his high school sweetheart, Carol Rea, to whom he has been married for over 71 years.

An avid golfer, he purchased his home in Canyon Lake in the 1970s in order to come out on the weekends and golf. After retirement in the 1990s Arthur and Carol became full time residents of Canyon Lake where he was an active member of the community. Arthur was a member of the Men’s Club, Clams, Roadrunners and a Tuesday Work Group member for 30 years.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Carol, his four daughters, Leanne, Lynn, Layne and Deanna, his grandchildren, Kimberly, Tanya, Adam, Bradley, Allie and Austin and his great-grandchildren, Desmond, Reilly, Kylie, Madison, Carson, Aiden, Luke, Dylan and Troy. He is joined in heaven by his granddaughter Heather.

Art’s wife Carol would like to thank so many members of the community for the cards during this time. A memorial will be announced as soon as gatherings are permitted.
