Want to serve on the POA Board of Directors?

The two-year terms of POA Director Dale Welty and Director Jim Barringham come to an end in May. Individuals interested in running for a seat on the board must be a Canyon Lake POA prime or associate member in good standing and turn in an Intent to Run packet.

Intent to Run packets will be available at the POA office starting on Feb. 10. The forms must be returned no later than 3 p.m. on Mar. 12. All candidates must comply with the Canyon Lake POA election rules.

A Candidate Orientation Meeting will be held in the POA conference room on Mar. 13 at 2 p.m. Candidates are not permitted to campaign prior to the meeting. Candidates may start campaigning on Mar. 15.

POA election signs can only be placed in the community setback in the sixty-day period prior to the election in accordance with the Election Sign Policy.

The Member of Record Date, which determines members entitled to meeting notice and eligibility to vote is Mar. 16. Ballots will be mailed on Apr. 14. Mail-in ballots should be mailed no later than May 8.

The Annual Meeting of the Members and Election of Directors will be held on May 14 at approximately 9 a.m. at the lodge. Polls will be open from 8 to 9 a.m. at the lodge.
