Vehicle plows into Canyon Lake Market window

A vehicle plowed through the window of the Canyon Lake Market in the Towne Center last Thursday.

The vehicle also drove over the parking lot median and hit at least two parked cars, a pole and a sign before coming to a stop near Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina where the driver was placed under arrest.

Police records show that Sandra Robb Smith, 58, was arrested by the Canyon Lake Police Department and booked into the Southwest Detention Center on Dec. 26. She is being charged with a misdemeanor DUI. Her bail was set at $2,500. She is due in court on Mar. 9, 2020.

According to an employee of the market, no one inside the market was injured during the incident.
