9ers installs new board, presents annual awards

The Canyon Lake 9ers Golf Club installed its 2020 officers board during a holiday brunch at the home of Sheryl Fine in December. The new officers are Sheryl Fine, president; Kathy Voss, membership; Sandy Dawson, secretary; Joanna Uhler, treasurer; Kathy Homewood, handicap; Denise Viotti and Barbie Spencer, tournaments; and Mavis Schutz, publicity.

In addition to installing its new officers, the following annual awards were presented:

• Most Improved: Kim Robinson
• Low Gross: Kathy Voss
• Low Net: Kathy Homewood
• Most Birds: Kathy Voss
• Most Chip-Ins: Elaine Grady

The Scholarship Tournament is held to raise funds for local, college-bound student-athletes who will be attending college next year. Scholarship applications will be available in April. The scholarships will be presented during the club’s annual Progressive Dinner in June.

The 9ers Golf Club is a member of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association. Ladies who are interested in playing golf and making new friends are invited to play; all levels of golfers are welcome.
