Senator Jeff Stone was recently awarded the Guardian of Small Business Award by the National Federation of Independent Business, California. The award is the highest honor given by the NFIB and was presented to Senator Stone for his unwavering support of California small business owners in the state legislature. The NFIB advocates for America’s small and independent business owners, representing more than 300,000 members nationally and more than 20,000 in California.

“I want to thank the NFIB for their highest honor and their support,” said Senator Stone. “I will continue to work to defeat job-killing legislation that makes it hard to start and keep a small business in California going.”

Since being elected to the California State Senate in 2014, Senator Stone has earned a 100 percent score from NFIB on its 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 legislative scorecards.

In 2018, in addition to his NFIB voting record, Senator Stone earned high marks from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, the California Chamber of Commerce and the California Manufacturers & Technology Association for his support of the business community.

In his more than four years in the State Senate, and before that for more than two decades as a Riverside County Supervisor and a Temecula City Councilman, Senator Stone has never wavered in his support of the business community.

“As a small business owner myself, I know the challenges hard-working Californian’s face every day,” said Senator Stone, a pharmacist who opened his first pharmacy in Temecula in 1983.

Senator Stone represents California’s 28th Senate District. The district, which is entirely in Riverside County, stretches from the vineyards of the Temecula Valley to the Colorado River and includes the cities of Blythe, Canyon Lake, Cathedral City, Coachella, Desert Hot Springs, Indian Wells, Indio, Lake Elsinore, La Quinta, Murrieta, Temecula, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage and Wildomar.
