Former TCHS teammates compete at NY college

Fellow Canyon Lakers and former Temescal Canyon High School water polo teammates Mikaela Wells of Wagner College and Emma Perez of Virginia Military Institute competed against each other in a game of water polo at the Spiro Athletic Center at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, on Mar. 23. Wagner won the game 19-6.

Mikaela is the daughter of Shannon and Doug Wells. The Wagner College freshman plays goalie. Her brother Andrew is a junior at TCHS and plays football for the Titans.

Emma is the daughter of Jorge and Ingrid Perez. She is a junior at VMI and plays attacker. Her sister Claire is a senior at TCHS and is a member of the swim team.

Both girls were All-League players, league champions and captains when they played water polo at TCHS.
