Letter: CLPOA Board vs. EVMWD

Editor, The Friday Flyer:

I will try again.

Approximately eight weeks ago I wrote a letter to the editor on the above subject.

The conclusion I came to was that the POA must commit to the offer the EVMWD made; that the lease payment increase be linked to the Current Price Index and the term would be 10 years at 2.2 percent per year.

The current lease is $1.48 million and in 10 years would be $1.777 million, a 22 percent increase over the 10-year period. At this time I asked why this offer is unacceptable to the POA?

The reason is that our attorney fees to date are $668,095; almost the cost of the 10-year increase offered. And we are not done yet, as out attorney still wants to go on and on.

All members received the latest letter from EVMWD clearly stating their position, and they mention this offer in their letter.

Members, please write to the POA Board to settle with the Lake Elsinore Municipal Water District now!

The homeowners having rear gardens on the lake perimeter should sign the indemnify document. What is their risk? What can EVMWD do to put at risk these owners? The owners can of course put themselves at risk. Please, for the sake of all members, write in asking the Board to move forward ASAP to settle this lease problem now!

Main Gate final cost estimate:At the last Board meeting I asked the Board to let us know the cost-to-date of the Main Gate and the estimated cost to complete. This must include the entry arms, the RFID, the Canyon Lake signage, the landscaping, setting up the entry computers, etc. I have formally requested this cost data.
