YOP-C encourages community to pitch in to help Helping Hands

Canyon Lake’s The Young Old People’s Club (YOP-C) impressively filled the entire length of one side of the tables last month at the Helping Hands’ monthly sorting and packing day. The club is hoping others in the community will join them this coming month during the month event.

Every second Saturday of the month, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00  a.m., Helping Hands invites community members to participate in a rewarding morning of sorting and packing goods for needy seniors in the Canyon Lake area.

Volunteers are encouraged to arrive by 7:30 a.m. to ensure they can work together at the packing tables. This monthly event combines community service with fun, featuring lively music and a great atmosphere for all involved.

“It was great last month,” Judy Dorazio, founder of YOP-C, said. “We go to breakfast afterwards at the Country Club. It’s always a fun and rewarding time and it warms my heart to see our YOP-C friends getting involved to help our community.”

Helping Hands’ events are not only an opportunity to contribute to a noble cause but also a chance to connect with fellow community members in a spirited and joyful setting. The group breakfast at the Country Club extends the camaraderie and enjoyment beyond the volunteer event.

“We encourage more to join us for this great cause,” Judy said. She invites all interested individuals to become part of the vibrant monthly tradition. This event is ideal for those looking to make a tangible difference while enjoying good company and good music.
