Thompson Square to electrify Lodge

Canyon Lake is gearing up for an exciting “Concert at the Lodge” tomorrow night featuring the acclaimed American country music duo Thompson Square. Tickets are still available for the concert, which is set to be held in the Holiday Bay Room of the newly-remodeled Canyon Lake Lodge.

Thompson Square will showcase the husband-and-wife team, Keifer and Shawna Thompson. Since its debut with Stoney Creek Records in 2010, Thompson Square has released three albums that have produced 14 charted singles on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts.

The group’s notable hit, the multi-platinum “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not,” not only topped the Hot Country Songs chart, but also became the most-played song of the year on country music radio.

Doug Schultz, the Canyon Lake POA Talent Buyer, Producer, and Emcee for the concert series, expressed his excitement about the duo‘s performance.

“The Canyon Lake audience is in for a real treat with these big country music stars,” he said. “This intimate acoustic show provides a unique concert experience, offering a rare opportunity to witness national recording artists perform live in such a close and personal setting.”

After taking some time off to focus on family, Thompson Square is returning to the stage with its latest album, “Masterpiece,” which delves into the couple’s life experiences, love, and partnership. Their performance is expected to blend their classic hits with new material, showcasing their evolution as artists.

Opening for Thompson Square will be Kim Johnson, a schoolteacher and musician from Orange County. Influenced by icons like Stevie Nicks, Joni Mitchell, and Patty Griffin, Kim’s Country/Americana/Soul sound adds a deeply personal touch to the evening‘s lineup.

The “Concert at the Lodge” series offers Canyon Lake residents the opportunity to enjoy premium entertainment close to home. With doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show commencing at 7:30 p.m. with Kim Johnson, attendees are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the ambiance and state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems.

Thompson Square is scheduled to take the stage at approximately 8:30 p.m., promising an evening filled with unforgettable music and storytelling.

Thompson Square will be doing an aftershow Meet & Greet with everyone who hangs out after the show.
