With over 17 years of experience in government operations, including significant stints with municipalities, the County of Riverside, and the State of California, Arron is poised to lead Canyon Lake through its next phases of development and challenges, the city said in a press release issued this week.

Aaron’s previous roles include Assistant City Manager and Acting City Manager for the City of Rialto, as well as Deputy City Manager for the City of Palm Springs.

City of Canyon Lake Mayor Dale Welty expressed his confidence in the new Interim City Manager’s capabilities.

“Arron’s impressive skills and humble qualities equip him well to navigate the challenges and foster the relationships crucial for a City Manager,” Dale said.

Mike Borja has been in the role as acting city manager since previous City Manager Nicole Dailey was put on administrative leave by the City Council on March 14. Nicole and the city agreed to a separation and Mike continued in an acting city manager capacity until last week when Arron was hired to his new appointment as Interim City Manager.

Arron holds an MBA with a specialization in Management and Operations and a BS in Business Administration from California Baptist University. He has also attained specialized certifications in Human Resources and is a Certified Government Chief Information Officer from Rutgers University.

Aaron resides in Riverside with his wife of 26 years, Carolyn, and their three children. He is an accomplished marksman and an enthusiast of fishing and boating. He looks forward to engaging with and contributing to the vibrant community of Canyon Lake.
