Jr. Women’s Club Tourney, Helicopter Ball Drop tomorrow

The Canyon Lake Junior Women’s Club Annual Golf Tournament tomorrow at the Canyon Lake Golf & Country Club is not just a golf tournament. The side-games are as much fun and as profitable as the tournament itself.

For example, a helicopter will hover above the putting green and drop marked golf balls hoping a lucky one will drop into a hole. The Junior Women’s Club knows how to throw a party.

Participants can look forward to a four-person scramble format tournament, which will include a variety of complimentary contests such as “Closest to the Pin” and “Longest Drive” for both men and women.

The highlight of the day promises to be the Helicopter Ball Drop, a thrilling event where golf balls purchased by participants are dropped from a helicopter onto the putting green, offering a chance to win exciting prizes.

The tournament will kick off with registration at 8:00 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m.

Fees for the event are $105 for members of the Canyon Lake Golf & Country Club and $135 for non-members, which includes lunch and a drink.

This year, attendees have the added opportunity to participate in the Helicopter Ball Drop without being registered for the golf tournament. Balls for the drop are available for purchase starting at $10, with additional balls for the putting contest priced at $5.

Proceeds from the day will go towards the Canyon Lake Junior Women’s Club Annual Scholarship program, supporting the educational pursuits of deserving students within the community.
