Yacht Club celebrates spring with Saint Paddy’s Cruise

The Canyon Lake Yacht Club marked the arrival of spring with its brew-infused “St Paddy’s ‘Saturday After’ Cruise,” an event that brought together club members and boating enthusiasts at Holiday Harbor. The evening began with a gathering at the docks, where attendees enjoyed appetizers and drinks before embarking on a leisurely cruise around Main Lake under a bright moonlit sky.

The serene weather conditions, coupled with the vibrant spring attire of the attendees, set the perfect stage for the night’s voyage. The cruise featured stops in Catfish Cove among other scenic spots around the lake, allowing everyone to fully appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the surroundings.

Commodore Rob Mora expressed his appreciation for the event and the participants.

“Some of my favorite members are the ones who show up in spring and fall because they’re the true sailors on the lake,” Rob said. “This is our greatest community amenity and they take full advantage of it. These cruises are always a blast.”

The success of the evening underscored the Yacht Club’s role in fostering community spirit and providing members with unique experiences to enjoy Canyon Lake’s natural beauty. The club organizes events throughout the year, but the spring cruises hold a special place in the calendar, offering an ideal way to welcome the season.
