Women’s Golf Club celebrates 51st Club Championship

The Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club successfully held its 51st Club Championship, a three-day event that saw participation from 32 members. The annual championship concluded with a lunch and awards ceremony at the Canyon Lake Country Club.

KK Beecher emerged as the overall winner, securing her position at the top for the fourth consecutive year. In recognition of her achievement, KK was awarded an orchid and will receive a diamond addition to her medallion, a symbol of her outstanding performance. Her name will be added to the perpetual trophy, commemorating her consistent excellence in the tournament.

The event also celebrated winners in various flights, acknowledging their skills and contributions to the competition.

In the A Flight, Gerry Meeks took first place, followed by Sheri Rawlins, Dena Kuhns, and Jill Busser. The B Flight saw Jeannette Williams in first, with Mary Leathley, Judy Kim, and Darlene Cortez rounding out the top spots. Elaine Grady led the C Flight, followed by Ann Blay, Donna Nunes, and Carrie Collins. In the D Flight, Shelly Carter claimed first place, with Linda Johnson, Linda Hudson, and Rita Crocker completing the list of top performers.

First-place winners were awarded a cubic zirconia or medallion, while other winners received credits in the Pro Shop, offering an incentive for continued excellence and participation in club activities.
