Support Group offers haven for those with chronic illness

The Chronic Illness Support Group is extending an invitation to individuals within Canyon Lake and the surrounding communities who are navigating the challenges of chronic health conditions to join them at their next meeting on April 1 at 6:00 p.m.

This support group aims to offer a supportive and understanding environment for those navigating the complexities of chronic illnesses.

Steven Prince, the founder of the group, emphasizes the vital role the support group plays in providing a sanctuary for encouragement, shared experiences, and mutual learning.

“Many people face chronic health issues/conditions and just need an outlet for encouragement, hope, and support,” he said. “The group is a safe place to share, encourage, learn together and it’s confidential, no one understands a chronic illness except others who have a chronic condition.”

Scheduled to convene at the CPR building in the Canyon Lake Town Center, the meeting is designed to be accessible and beneficial to all, requiring no prior RSVP for attendance. This inclusive approach ensures that anyone seeking support or information can freely join.

The support group meeting is not just an opportunity for individuals with chronic conditions to connect, but also welcomes caregivers seeking to understand and navigate the care landscape more effectively.
