Jr. Women’s Club Annual Golf Tournament April 6

The Canyon Lake Junior Women’s Club has announced its Annual Golf Tournament set for April 6 at the Canyon Lake Golf & Country Club. This charitable event is open to both members and non-members, with registration starting at 8:00 a.m. followed by a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.

Participants will enjoy a round of golf in a four-person scramble format, and individual players are welcome to sign up as teams will be formed on the day. The entry fees are set at $135 for non-members and $105 for members, which includes lunch and a drink.

The tournament features complimentary contests such as “Closest to the Pin” and “Longest Drive,” with separate competitions for men and women.

The incredibly popular Helicopter Ball Drop highlights the festivities. Balls that are loaded onto the helicopter can be purchased starting at $10 for one ball, $40 for five balls and $100 for 15 balls. The balls are dropped from the hovering helicopter onto the putting green. The first ball to go into the hole wins its owner $1,000. If the ball doesn’t make it into the hole, $500 will be awarded to the ball that ends up closest to the hole. Anyone can buy golf balls for the Helicopter Ball Drop, even those who are not signing up for the golf event.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Canyon Lake Jr. Women’s Club Annual Scholarship Program. Those interested can contact the JWC at canyonlakejwc@gmail.com. The club encourages community members to join the event for a day of sport and philanthropy.
