City of Canyon Lake seeking volunteers to prep flags for Memorial Day

The City of Canyon Lake is calling on its community members to contribute to a patriotic cause in anticipation of Memorial Day. The city aims to attach 4,800 ribbons to American flags as part of the Memorial Day preparations.

Volunteer efforts are ramping up during Spring Break with five open house community service opportunities.

The city is particularly encouraging student participation, emphasizing that the events could be a productive way to spend the Spring Break while they earn school volunteer hours.

The events are scheduled to take place at City Hall’s Old Library in the Canyon Lake Town Center with volunteer hours from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, Thursday, April 1, April 2, and April 3.

For those interested in joining the effort, the City of Canyon Lake has made it easy to get involved.

Potential volunteers can sign up by visiting the city’s official website at canyonlakeca.gov.
