Yacht Club enthusiastic about this year’s events

The Canyon Lake Yacht Club has surpassed 400 members and announced an event-packed calendar for 2024, marking an exciting year ahead.

The club also launched its newly redesigned website, CLYCCA.org, aimed at improving communication and organizational efficiency. The website provides detailed information about club activities, membership options, and the club‘s history, ensuring members are well-informed.

Commodore Rob Mora expressed enthusiasm about the website, highlighting its importance in streamlining club operations and keeping members updated on upcoming events. The website features a section on club events, membership details, and a brief history of the organization, aimed at fostering a more engaged and informed community.

For 2024, the club is offering two membership tiers: “Basic Annual Membership” and “Annual Membership Plus.” The latter includes additional benefits such as reciprocal rights at nearly 800 yacht clubs across the United States, thanks to affiliations with the Yacht Club of America and the Southern California Yachting Association. Yacht Club leaders attended SCYA’s General Membership Meeting Saturday where Canyon Lake Yacht Club membership into the organization was unanimously approved.

The club‘s 2024 calendar is filled with a variety of events, including themed cruises, picnics, and boating clinics, designed to bring members together for fun and camaraderie on the water. These activities are open to all members, including those without a boat.

The Yacht Club‘s first event of the year is a potluck scheduled for Feb. 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Holiday Harbor. This event aims to reconnect members, enjoy delicious food, and introduce the club‘s plans for the year.

“There are plenty of ways for members to get involved this year,” Yeoman Kat Dimpflmaier said. “We can’t wait to see everyone at the potluck on the 24th.”
