‘Spreading Love’ as easy as donating peanut butter

Aprile DeAnne McKinnon, in collaboration with the Helping Hands charity, wants February in Canyon Lake to be dedicated to spreading love and support to local seniors.

Food security is a critical need among seniors. Many seniors in the surrounding area struggle to stretch their food and financial resources, especially towards the end of the month. Helping Hands, a local nonprofit aiding seniors, has found that many rely on peanut butter as a staple food during these times.

To assist, Aprile is organizing a peanut butter drive. The community is encouraged to donate jars of creamy peanut butter to support these seniors. Donations can be dropped off at various locations in the Canyon Lake Town Center. Those interested in contributing or seeking more information can contact Aprile directly at 951-545-7855.
