City launches Canyon Cash e-card with bonus cash

Purchasing Canyon Cash Gift Cards not only supports City of Canyon Lake businesses, but gifts the buyer with at least a 50% bonus cash. The successful program implemented during the post-pandemic recovery months, is being introduced once again by the city.

The city invites the community to celebrate small business season, support local merchants by shopping and dining at Canyon Lake’s local restaurants, shops, entertainment and more by purchasing one simple digital Community E-Gift Card.

When an eGift Card is purchased, a Bonus eGift Card is given to the purchaser. Buy one $100 eGift Card and get one $50 Bonus Card. Buy one $50 eGift Card and get one $25 Bonus Card. Buy one $25 eGift Card and get one $15 Bonus Card.

There is a limit to 5 bonus gifts per purchaser for the duration of the campaign regardless of the gift recipients. Offer valid while supplies last. Bonus cards will be valid for 1 year from purchase. Purchaser must be the holder of the credit card used.

This year, the City of Canyon Lake and the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce want to encourage residents to keep holiday shopping local.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our community,” the city said. “Small local businesses provide jobs, tax dollars, contributions to our schools and non-profits, as well as the character that makes our Canyon Lake unique.”

Canyon Cash is a community-based digital e-gift card that makes it fun and easy to keep local spending local. Purchase a Canyon Cash Community Card on the City of Canyon Lake website to spend at one or many of the participating merchants.

“Recipients could use it for their latte in the morning, visit the salon next door for a pedicure, grab lunch with a friend, hit the boutiques, or meet up for date night happy hour,” the city said. “All of this while using their Community Card from their mobile phone.”
