POA initiates electric bicycle registration at Saturday event

Following the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association Board’s decision at its October meeting, electric bicycle owners are now required to register their bikes with the Canyon Lake POA in order to operate them within Canyon Lake.

The registration process for electric bicycles will commence with a special event on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Canyon Lake POA office in the Canyon Lake Town Center. This event marks the start of what will be an ongoing registration requirement for electric bicycle owners and riders within the community.

This new regulation is part of an initiative to ensure safety and compliance with rules regarding electric bicycles in the community.

To register, authorized members must complete an online exam that focuses on safety and community rules pertaining to electric bicycles. The exam is available at www.clpoa.com/ebike. Upon successful completion of this exam, tags will be issued to the authorized members. These tags must be prominently displayed on the rear of the electric bicycle for easy identification and verification of compliance.

The bicycle itself is not required to be present at the time of registration, making the process more convenient for electric bicycle owners. This regulation is part of the Canyon Lake POA’s commitment to ensuring the safety of all residents and maintaining order within the community’s shared spaces. The Canyon Lake POA emphasizes the importance of this new rule and encourages all electric bicycle owners and riders to participate in the registration process. By doing so, they contribute to a safer environment for all community members.
