Fire department to host ‘Donuts with Santa,’ toy drive

The Canyon Lake Fire Department is excited to host the delightful “Donuts with Santa” event on Dec. 16, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Canyon Lake Fire Department Station 1 on Vacation Drive. This family-friendly gathering is set to bring joy and holiday cheer to the Canyon Lake community.

Attendees will have a unique opportunity to create lasting memories with Santa Claus, with the backdrop of Engine 1 adding to the festive ambiance. The event will offer donuts, hot cocoa, and coffee for all to enjoy. Additionally, children can engage in crafting activities in Santa’s workshop, adding to the magic of the holiday season.

This event is free for all residents, and the Canyon Lake Fire Department warmly invites everyone to join in the celebrations and interact with local firefighters.

In the spirit of giving, the Fire Department is also participating in the Spark of Love Toy Drive for the second consecutive year. Last year, the fire department successfully gathered hundreds of toys, and this year, they aspire to exceed that achievement.

Community members attending the Donuts with Santa event are encouraged to bring  new, unwrapped toys or sports equipment to support the cause, although donations are not required for event participation. All toys collected will benefit local children and teenagers in Canyon Lake and the surrounding communities, ensuring that the joy of the holiday season reaches as many as possible.

Toy donations can be dropped off at the fire station until Dec. 24. The fire department is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the community’s well-being and extend its heartfelt thanks for any support given to the toy drive.
