City’s Winter Wonderland to turn Town Center into fun zone

The City of Canyon Lake is gearing up to usher in the holiday season with its Annual Winter Wonderland and Tree Lighting event, set for Dec. 2 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Canyon Lake Town Center.

This free event is a beacon of festive joy and community spirit, offering a range of activities suitable for all ages.

Families and community members will be treated to a host of holiday traditions and fun-filled activities. Highlights of the event include cherished moments like photos with Santa and the eagerly-awaited tree lighting ceremony. For added excitement, the event features train rides, snow sledding, and pictures with Santa, perfect for the younger attendees.

Those seeking adventure can test their skills on the rock wall, and a selection of carnival games will provide entertainment for attendees of all ages. In the spirit of the season, children will have the opportunity to send their Christmas wishes to Santa through letters.

A craft table will also be available for those looking to engage in creative activities. For a bit of festive flair, glitter tattoos will be on offer.

Enhancing the holiday mood, an array of food vendors will serve delicious treats to the sounds of holiday music.

“Bring your appetite and taste the flavors from local food vendors, or preorder from the In-N-Out truck,” Jessica Sanchez, the city management analyst, said. “We hope to see you at the tree lighting ceremony to spread holiday cheer/”

The Winter Wonderland and Tree Lighting event is a treasured community tradition in Canyon Lake, marking the beginning of the holiday season in a memorable and joyful manner.

The event is proudly supported by the Canyon Lake Family Matters Club, emphasizing its commitment to fostering community spirit and family-friendly activities.
