Choraleers set to enchant with ‘A Reel Christmas’ concert

The Canyon Lake Choraleers are gearing up to present “A Reel Christmas,” a festive concert, on Dec. 10 at 2:30 p.m. at the Holiday Bay Room in the Canyon Lake Lodge. This special holiday event will feature a collection of beloved Christmas movie melodies, sure to captivate and delight the Canyon Lake Lodge audience.

The concert will showcase local talents, including pianist Lynda Salina and harpist Kylene Evans. It will also feature a variety of instruments such as violin, flute, and trombone, alongside a popular kids choir. Lorilee Bajema, the group’s Artistic Director, will lead the ensemble.

Attendees can anticipate a nostalgic journey through Christmas classics. The program includes pieces from the ‘Home Alone’ soundtrack, Burl Ives’ ‘Holly Jolly Christmas,’ and songs from Disney’s ‘Frozen,’ like “In Summer.” This repertoire aims to recreate the warmth and charm of holiday movies.

“The Choraleers are excited to bring the magic of Christmas movies to life through music,” Lorilee said. “We hope to spread joy and revive cherished holiday memories for our audience.”

Tickets for ‘A Reel Christmas’ are available at brownpapertickets.com, the Canyon Lake POA office, or through Choraleer members. Prices are $30 for VIP, $25 for reserved seating, and $20 for general admission. The community is encouraged to secure tickets early for this anticipated musical celebration of the holiday season.
