YOP-C’s 1st Poker Run includes competitions

Jeanette Holt won The Young Old People Club (YOP-C) Golf Cart Poker Run Saturday, besting over 200 other members at several different challenges. The club members hopped onto golf carts and spread out throughout Canyon Lake to compete in different challenges at different posts.

The challenges included competitions such as basketball, golf, darts, and many more.

“The day turned out to be more fun and laughs than people expected,” Pete and Judy Dorazio, the founders of the club, said after working hard along with many volunteers to make the day such a great success.

Jeanette was awarded $250.00 for winning the competition while Second Place went to Fran Tibbit with $150.00 and Third Place went Jennifer Dain with $100.00.

The YOP-C is a social club in Canyon Lake. The Dorazios have scheduled different activities throughout the year. The club had 14 members who went on a cruise together last month. The club is all about having a fun time with members in the community, with no agenda other than to enjoy each other’s company and make friends and great memories.
