Photos from Mermaids contest will create Canyon Lake calendar

The Mermaids of Canyon Lake Club is holding a fundraiser that the entire community can participate in. The club is printing a 2024 Canyon Lake Calendar that goes on sale prior to Christmas. First, though, the group needs Canyon Lakers to supply the photos that will be used for each month. The Canyon Lake Photo Contest for the calendar is being hosted now by the Mermaids and winners will receive prizes and their photos will be used in the calendar. Mermaids are looking for unique Canyon Lake photos for each month.

“Show your skills and provide what you feel  speaks, ‘A Bit of Paradise’ for each month of the year in Canyon Lake,” the club’s Nicole Taylor said. “Mermaids of Canyon Lake would like to say thank you to all the businesses who are supporting this calendar and the philanthropic efforts for MOCL. If you have any interest in being a sponsor, it’s not too late.”

The photo contest will be judged by a professional photographer and a photo will be chosen for each month of the year. Winners for each month will receive a prize valued at $50. The photo chosen for the cover will be awarded a prize valued at $100. Winners will be announced on Dec. 10. The calendars will be ready for purchase by Christmas.
