Senior Center potluck Sunday, Holiday Boutique next weekend

After the Canyon Lake Senior Center hosts its monthly potluck on Sunday, the center will be holding its renowned event of the year, its annual Holiday Boutique.

Join the fun at the Canyon Lake senior center potluck on the last Sunday of each month. Bring a dish to share and make some new friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The group plays a fun game of Left, Right, Center after the potluck. RSVP to canyonlake.ca.seniorcenter@gmail.com.

The Canyon Lake Senior Center is also gearing up to host its annual Holiday Boutique, scheduled for Nov. 4 and Nov. 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on both days.

Organized by the Senior Center Work Group, this eagerly-anticipated event promises a wealth of handcrafted treasures for discerning shoppers. A diverse selection of approximately 50 vendors will be on hand, showcasing an array of locally crafted art and one-of-a-kind artisanal products, both indoors and outdoors.

Visitors to the boutique can anticipate discovering a wide range of items, including holiday decorations, candles, knitted and quilted goods, fashionable dog apparel, plants, jewelry, home decor, and holiday-themed items. The selection is further enriched by unique women’s jackets and caftans, among various other enticing finds.

Such is the abundance of offerings that many patrons opt to attend both days of the event to fully explore the myriad choices.

Adding a special dimension to the occasion, the Patriotic Quilters of Canyon Lake will cap off the boutique on Sunday by presenting a quilt to one fortunate recipient. Veterans are cordially invited to attend and enter for the chance to receive this patriotic quilt.

To facilitate the convenience of all attendees, a golf cart shuttle service will be available to assist in transporting guests to their vehicles.
