Halloween Carnival Sunday

Calling all little monsters, witches, and goblins! The clock is ticking down to the Canyon Lake Family Matters Club 10th Annual Halloween Carnival and Costume Contest Sunday at Holiday Harbor from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This hair-raising blast with unlimited fun is just $5.00 per child.

With the $5.00 wristband, all kids gain access to a frightfully delightful array of activities including game booths, craft stations, face painting, bingo, tattoos, trunk or treat, and a treasure-filled prize table. Plus, the thrilling children’s costume contest and parade will have several incredible prizes up for grabs.

The various contests will take place at the Family Matters Club’s blue tent and will include: Old Fashioned Apple Bobbing (expect to get wet), Pretzel Eating Contest, Costume Contest and Parade and the announcement of Best Decorated Vendor Booth.

The contests are just a slice of what is included in this popular carnival. Discover the amazing vendor shopping area which boasts locally-made items and holiday crafts. And for those with the most creatively decked-out booth, a cash prize awaits the “Best ‘Costumed’ Vendor Booth” contest.

For all the hungry haunters, the concession stand will be dishing out delicious snacks throughout the afternoon, including nachos, tacos and refreshing beverages.

Volunteering to help at the carnival also gives high schoolers a chance to rack up volunteer hours. Find all the crucial details on the club’s Facebook page.

“This is your final call for a spine-tingling good time,” Shawna Bowen, the club founder, said. “Don’t miss out – we can’t wait to see you there.”
