Solar Hits Grid

The Canyon Lake POA solar project with panels installed at the Lodge, Equestrian Center and Golf Course is officially completed as the new solar structures were connected to the grid this week. The project will deliver cleaner one million kilowatt-hours of clean energy annually. The project was installed at no cost to the association. The electricity generated from the structures will be purchased at significantly-reduced, fixed rates and will save the POA nearly $3 million over the next 25 years. The project also provides much-needed shade at the three locations where they are installed including much of the parking lot at the Canyon Lake Lodge.
