Marsha Faye Wilson

Marsha Faye Wilson, 70, a resident of Pomona, CA, passed away at the Pomona Valley Medical Center in Pomona, CA, on Oct. 5, 2023.

She was born in Pennsylvania in 1953 to Walter and Ellen Drake. She grew up in Ontario, CA. Marsha attended Chaffey High School before marrying Ernest Wilson “Bucky” in 1971 and becoming a homemaker. They had two daughters during their 20-year marriage. Although the couple were childhood sweethearts starting in 1966, the couple divorced in 1990.

Like many other people Marsha had a “Bucket List.” Her daughter Faydra took her on a road trip to New Orleans, LA., Cara traveled with her across country including Yellowstone, Mt Rushmore, Bryce Canyon, The Grand Canyon, and Niagara Falls. Marsha loved cruising and her daughters made sure she crossed off Mexico and Alaska. In October 2022 she crossed off her final trip, a 14-day cruise to Hawaii with her daughters. Her daughters took her to Catalina, Yosemite, Hearst Castle, the Redwood forest, and Las Vegas for frequent weekend getaways. Her final Bucket List item was a Pink Cadillac which she purchased early in 2021.

Marsha was preceded in death by her father Walter, mother Ellen, brother Jack Drake, and sisters Vivian Buchanan and Jame Rodriguez. Marsha is survived by her daughter Cara and son-in-law Banner Agundez, daughter Faydra Geiger, son David Rodgers, sister Sharon “Bessie” McNany; her five grandchildren, Shylo Agundez, Dartagnen Agundez, Chance Agundez, Aeon Agundez, and Hudson Agundez; her much beloved doggy Rosie, and many nieces and nephews.

Marsha’s Celebration of Life Memorial is planned for November at her daughter’s residence. Close friends and family may feel free to contact her daughters for details.
