Annual Canyon Lake Car Show tomorrow

Hundreds of classic cars will take over the Canyon Lake Lodge lawn and parking lot tomorrow to showcase their shiny trim and restored engines. The 17th Annual Canyon Lake Car Show will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and all are invited.

The Canyon Lake Car Club show will include classic cars, trucks and specialty vehicles, all of which will be pre-1998. The free event includes vendors, raffles, a water ski show, and an all day D.J.

The new Lighthouse Restaurant outdoor dining area will be open for breakfast and lunch buffets. Breakfast buffet will be from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a lunch buffet from noon to 4:00 p.m. There will also be lots of food choices from food vendors.

Coveted 2023 Car Club t-shirts will be available for sale while supplies last, including, new this year, ladies shirts.

The Car Show schedule is  7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m car parking and placement, 9:00 a.m. car show starts, 2:30 p.m. will be raffles, 3:00 p.m. the awards ceremony begins.

The Canyon Lake Car Club asks that attendees bring jars of peanut butter for its Jar of Love fundraiser. The club, in conjunction with Helping Hands, will be providing the peanut butter to those in need.

Peanut Butter is a staple for many seniors as they fight the high cost of living. Many seniors in the surrounding area have to make the choice to pay a utility bill or eat. Peanut Butter can be the food that fuels them during some of these trying times.
