Donna Ritchie chosen city’s Sept. Citizen of the Month

Donna Ritchie was named the City of Canyon Lake September Citizen of the Month at the City Council Meeting last week.

Donna isn’t just known as the administrator of several different Facebook group pages like Canyon Lake Community (Official,) but also for her history with Canyon Lake which goes back several years.

In 2014, Donna served as Mrs. Canyon Lake, she was named Citizen of the year in 2016, and served as Editor for The Friday Flyer for four years. Her scope of work goes way beyond reporting and news flashes on her Canyon Lake Insider website.

Donna served on the Canyon Lake POA Community Patrol Committee and on the Veterans Day Committee. Donna’s most recent work included serving as co-chair of the Canyon Lake National Day of Prayer, on the Chamber Board as an Ambassador, and as organizer of a cornhole tournament between the Sheriff’s Department, Fire Department, POA and the city.

Donna recently served on a panel of volunteers for the city and Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce business workshop. She assisted the city with planting flags in every yard for Memorial Day and worked as a volunteer with the CLEAR Foundation’s three-day watersports camp.

Donna is an administrator for several Facebook Group Pages, including Canyon Lake Community (Official), Canyon Lake Crime and Safety, History of Canyon Lake, Canyon Lake Dog Owners, and What’s Cooking Canyon Lake.
