Chamber inviting all to watch businesses battle

Get ready for the ultimate showdown. The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce is pitting business against business in its first annual Battle of the Businesses which will take place Sept. 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Sierra Park.

“Prepare for a day of excitement, camaraderie, and spirited competition,” the chamber’s Kristina Rasband said. “The Battle of The Businesses is designed to showcase the vibrant spirit of Canyon Lake. Teams, each consisting of four-to-seven participants, will engage in friendly competition to vie for a coveted trophy and ultimate bragging rights.”

The Battle of The Businesses promises thrilling challenges, delicious food, and a strong sense of community.

Both participants and spectators can anticipate an action-packed day. A DJ will provide the musical entertainment, while a selection of food trucks will offer a variety of culinary delights. It will be a day filled with laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable moments.

Teams will face off in a range of exciting challenges, including tug of war, kayak races, and even arm wrestling. The focus is not solely on winning, but on fostering a sense of community and having a fantastic time together, Kristina said.

There is still time for chamber members to participate.

“This is your opportunity to shine,” Kristina said. “Showcase your business, assemble a team, and compete for honor. For just $250, a team of four-to-seven participants can participate and proudly represent your business.”

Canyon Lakers are invited to attend the free event and join in on cheering their favorite local businesses, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, and being a part of a day dedicated to community unity.

The food trucks at the event will be So Cheesy, S&B Tacos and Twisted Treatery. Booths of the competing businesses will also be set up to give them an opportunity to showcase their business and answer questions visitors may have.

Those participating in the competitions must be 18 years old or older.
